I am Vasiliki Dimakopoulou, born in Athens, Greece, some years ago (maybe more than some).
My first memory as a child was a lullaby by Mikis Theodorakis, my dad was singing for me with his guitar named “Sleep my little angel”.
Since then, my life was full of music, listening to my dad playing his guitar and my mom singing.
The question if I want to learn an instrument came very natural when I was 8 and the answer was piano, despite my mom’s objections, who was claiming that I can not have piano anywhere to have fun with friends.
When I first touched to note Do on Mrs Elli’s piano I fell in love and never stop being in love since then.
For 12 years I learned piano, theory, harmony, music history, morphology, solfege and lot more.
In parallel and following not always the “artistic path”, I studied Political sciences in Law School of Athens and completed the “logical” with MBA from Open University.
Being a happy mom of three, in 2017 the decision of moving to London was taken and since then, I am teaching piano, theory and music history in all levels and ages.
3 years ago, I completed the Piano Teachers’ Course where I learned for one year from the best tutors.
Live and Learn, Solon said (γηράσκω αεί διδασκόμενος) and I am learning every day something new, trying to offer my students the best knowledge.
