Effie Adilini-Bobis

Effie Adilini-Bobis was born in Athens. Her family’s love for music prompted her to start piano lessons at an early age.
At the age of 19 she received under prof. Dionysios Orpis from the conservatory ORFEIO OF ATHENS , piano diploma with Excellent and a first prize, having at the same time started vocal lessons with Machi Drini.
Under professor Yolanda di Tasso, she received “Opera Vocal Diploma “with Excellent and first prize award from the HELLENIC CONSERVATORY OF ATHENS.
From the EMMETRO CONSERVATORY OF ATHENS under professors Giannis Kastrinos and Antonia Haikali, she gets diplomas in Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue , with Excellent and first prize.
She continues her studies in England, next to Dame Joan Sutherland and Rosalind Plowright, and gets MMus Vocal Teaching from TRINITY COLLEGE OF MUSIC. After two years she holds a Master of Arts in Psychology for Musicians from UNIVERSITY OF SHEFFIELD and later a PhD in Music Psychology from UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD.
In 2002 ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, Royal Academy, Royal College, Royal Northern College of Music, and Royal Scottish Academy of Music), which is considered the largest Music Examination Organization in the world, evaluating her work as a teacher, chose her as a teacher and his exclusive representative in Greece.
For the last 20 years she has participated as a member of committees in international vocal competitions, while she is a member of the examination committee of the Barbican Music Competition.
From 1980 to June 2019 she collaborated with the Hellenic Conservatory as a teacher of Piano, Vocal (Opera and Musical singing) and at the same time she is the head of the “Acting on stage opera and Musical class” .
Since April 2012 she is a member of AMTA (AMERICAN MUSIC THERAPY ASSOCIATION)
Since May 2019 she is the first Greek Vocal teacher member of the BRITISH VOICE ASSOCIATION.
Since July 2019 she is a consultant in the culture department of the Municipality of Dionysos and responsible for artistic events
Since September 2919 she has been collaborating with the ERATIO CONSERVATORY OF ATHENS as a piano, Opera and Acting on Stage teacher, she also organizes and teaches the first MUSICAL THEATRE class in accordance with the international standards of ABRSM
She has organized and participated in opera performances and concerts in America and Europe, Teatro Real, Staachoper Stuttgard, Maanchester Opera House, St.Martin-in-the Fields, as well as in various artistic events in Greece, such as the University of Athens, at the Goethe Institute with the Third Program of the National Greek Radio, at the French Institute of Greece , in concerts for ELPIDA (HOPE) Friends’ Association of Children with cancer, at the Marousi Art and Culture Centre of the Municipality of Maroussi within the festival of May 2009 with a tribute to Manos Hadjidakis, in Dionysia Festival with works by Mozart, Verdi, Kalman , Bizet, Dvorak, Menotti, Hatziapostolou, in the Mikis Theodorakis Hall with Mozart works, in Parnassos hall with ‘Athens Sinfonietta’ under the direction of G. Arabidis, at the Cultural Center of the Town Hall of Kifissia, at Badminton Theatre ,at Greece Cultural centre of the Municipality of Dionysos etc.
